Saw one in front of a Dodge dealer 2 days ago in Dickson, TN
Pics or I'm calling BS
I knew I should have stopped to take one, but was in a hurry. My wife is the one who spotted it. Sorry, but l ain't driving all the way back out there to get a pic. I was very surprised to see it. I thought it would be next year before we'd see any around here.
You leave me no choice..... lol
I find that TRX looks like a lot like a normal Rebel, and not to hard to get them confused. The hood scoop is a defining feature, but it doesn't draw in the eyes that much, IMO. And yes, it has a wider stance, but that doesn't draw much attention and hard to notice from different angles.
Not saying @Bozz saw a rebel, I don't know. I'm saying the lack of a more distinctive look could be a drawback for TRX, compared to a Raptor. Then again, if the Rap ends up with two engine choices as rumored, that could be a drawback on the Raptor as well?
Yeah if thats the case, get a Gen 1, supercharge it and add some more performance mods and you'll have a ton of power with a V8. I got my 2019 fully loaded except Recaro seats for $70k so not bad.
Here I am chillin over here with my $57k 801a
I believe you.
A few comments;
Pricing; a number of posts referred to the crazy pricing of the TRX at $80k-$90k compared to a Gen 2. My Gen 1 scab had a MSRP of $45k, my Gen 2 scab with similar options had an MSRP of $60k. The Gen 3 will have an MSRP of $80k-90k depending on options.
Visually; I can't comment because I have not seen one in person. I have never seen a picture of something that looked as good as the real thing. I remember first seeing the pics of the Gen 2 Raptor and not liking the changes until I saw one in person.
Engine; This alone in my book warrants keeping an open mind on this truck. I love my Gen2, but hate the way it sounds, I'm an OG. I also own a 2019 Hellcat redeye and let me tell you something, the sound of that supercharger combined with that V8 Hemi exhaust is pure music and the power is off the chart. The thought of a similar engine in a offroad truck makes me smile and I want a V8 in my next truck.
Not to mention, it has a 5 link rear suspension which is better than leaf springs and while I love Fox, Bilstein is also top notch.
I will reserve final judgement until I sit my ass in one and drive it.
Come on @Big Blue you been around here long enough to know you can't bring common sense and logical reasoning to the table!
