Just thought I would throw this out there, have no idea if anyone can diagnose.
The other day I was driving slowly down a rather steep paved road. It was twisty so necessitated braking for turns. About 3 or 4 times in a row when I touched the brakes I got an unusual "graunch" type of sound from the front end. Sort of like a spring seating itself in its perch or something.
To my ear it might have come from a lot of sources. Bad control arm bushing, bad shock mount, maybe even the ABS? (the road was dirty). I have no idea. I've never heard it before, and it has not happened again since.
I have a 2013 SuperCab with 46,000 miles.
Any clues would be appreciated. Otherwise I have no idea where to look and will just keep driving.
