Thanks to all of you for the nudge I needed to sell my Gen 2 and go for a Gen 3. Flew out to pick up my Gen 3 in Kalispell Mt at MSRP. The dealer there is a no mark up shop ( I am not affiliated, found them searching the country for an MSRP deal). MSRP Lightning on the showroom floor (since I live in the people's republic of California, had never seen one of those for MSRP) and a couple a used Raptors (Gen 2 and Gen3) for fair prices.

Some Gen 3 observations from the 1100 mile break in drive home. The suspension/road ride so much better than my Gen 2. This is important for my extended trips to Starbucks. Gen 3 is much quieter in the cab than my Gen 2. Tech is much better and sound is also better. Did three 400 miles days through Montana, Idaho, Washington and Oregon and sampled some of the best microbrews the Northwest has to offer. All in all a great experience with no real driver fatigue. Time to schedule another trip to Raptor Assault. Couple of photos of the trip.

Nice, I just did this a week ago too except with much less dramatic views (CA Central Valley) and agree with your feedback and impressions. I still love the Gen 2 looks but the Gen 3 is nice!
