If you are on mid perch or aftermarket 3.0's, the truck works very good without the sway bar. The only time I would consider needing the bar on is if you are doing high speeds, road racing or towing heavy loads.
Yes you will get more body roll, yes the front IFS actually works independantly without the bar, and yes it will feel different than the stock set up. Like i said, if you are on 3.0's with compression adjusters, you can mitigate some of the body roll. At 100mph I am not trying to blast a chicane, so Ive never got outta shape because of a lack of sway bar. Just be smart and get to know the limits.
Offroad it is night and day better in my opinion.
