So I didn’t realize the crazy complex mounting the system the backup camera has behind the oval emblem. I honestly dont see any other way other than just epoxy ‘ing the camera in place in the handle. Unless there is a slimmer plug and play camera that can be used….

Picking up the appliqué tomorrow from vinyl wrap. I’m gonna be installing the handle tomorrow hopefully. I just epoxy’d it in there

yeah im always up for seeing new projects people are doing.
Im just going with the cam in the handle and a 9” emblem to replace the current bulgy cam/emblem Lol clean it up and update the style a bit.

Well it’s baby steps for me. My kids schedule keeps me busy, anyway… I got the camera mounted in the new handle , and mounted. Plenty of slack in the camera harness wants you in clip and remove zip tie to pull harness up. But you kinda have to feed the harness up from the bottom while pulling on the other end so you don’t kink or damage the harness. I played around with the camera placement and this orientation seems to give you the most amount of clearance from everything. I’ll try and post up pics of the appliqué tonight.

Great to hear there’s plenty of cord…

Wondering if the orientation of the camera will matter. Hopefully its not gonna show the view sideways lol. I may be overthinking this also.

Well here it is . Really happy how it turned out. The appliqué doesn’t feel cheap but doesn’t feel the most robust either. This is the template I’m working on for the cut out. Slowly but surely
