Gen 2 P0012 on vacation

hey guys!

Worried I have the dreaded cam phaser issue. I’m in Gulf Shores and need to get back to Houston Before I can drop the truck off. Check engine light is on with a P0012 code.

Any advice?

according to internet search that’s a cam position error ( cam timing retarded too far ).

Maybe it’s being overly cautious, maybe not. Best you put into a local stealership to find out. probably not something that will clear with a battery reset.

Yea, the problem is, I’m here with my family and need to drive home Wednesday.

what ever happened with this? The error just popped up for me and don't have time to bring it in...wondering if ok to drive or not.
