FSA 21B10 - Cam phaser update?

Anyone else noticed this FSA in their Ford Pass app?

I have a later 2018 build and this FSA wasn’t there a week ago - software fix for cam phaser rattle? I searched on Google for the FSA number but didn’t find much.

Anyone see this come through your Ford Pass? Really interesting. Hey [mention]FordTechOne [/mention] can you give some details on how a PCM reprogram will help a cam phaser rattle? I thought the issue was mechanic.
I’m imagining reducing the variable timing which reduces top end power? Is it something else? I’m totally confused on how a PCM program keeps the cam phasers from breaking.

Nothing on my 2020, not surprisingly. It will be interesting to hear the technical details behind it. Not sure your mention went though so I’ll ping @FordTechOne again, should he have any more details.
