Front end pops when it rains

I had my ‘13 SCREW on a drive when it started raining. As I stepped on the brake at a stoplight, I heard and felt a loud pop in the front end. When I accelerated off the light, it also popped. It did it at every acceleration/deceleration until the rain stopped and roads dried. Afterwards, I had no problems.

Anyone ever heard or experienced this? Any thoughts what could cause this?

I would check ball joints on that side, but the just while raining may jist be a coincidence
