Gents,

I have recently purchased a new 2019 Ford F150 Raptor and sold my 2012 BMW X5M. The change was pretty significant for me because I've been a straight BMW owner for some time. I recently moved to the Northwest and have been itching to get something a little more practical for the outdoors...not that the Raptor is practical. Going from over 600hp to 450hp in a vehicle that weights 600lbs more is a big difference, but I'm not missing any tech coming from a 2012 BMW. I'm really enjoying the Raptor and not disappointed from the change at all. There is a pic below with my X5M before I sold it.

I've made a few changes to the Raptor to fix things I think should have been upgraded from factory including: 17" Antenna, Door sill guards, wind deflectors, KN Drop-in, and mudflaps. I have rear wheel well guards and LED license plate lights on the way now...hopefully they arrive before corona virus lockdown. I'm trying to avoid going crazy with the truck...might do a tune and SVC rear bumper when I have the cash...Wife ended up getting a new BMW X3 Hybrid last week so after putting $$$ on down payments I'll need to watch my spending. Thanks guys! I thought of the one thing that bothers me about this truck: Oil Change. I did my first oil change at 1500 miles and WTH! The design having the plug and filter drain into a plastic pan then into the skid plate to then drain down to the ground is the stupidest thing I have ever seen. You pretty much guarantee that oil will get left in the skid plate and drip out. Before my next change I plan on getting a Fumoto 107SX plug and a Hamburger Performance 3373 Oil Filter Relocation Kit.

I went from a similar car....Audi SQ5 to my Raptor. I thought i was going to hate it after the novelty wore off.

A small sporty SUV can do so many things well. But the Raptor has been a joy now 18 months in.

Welcome.

WHERE DID YOU GET DOOR SILL GUARDS,NICE
They’re Redhound guards off eBay. They have the same one on amazon just more expensive. Kind of a pain to install. I didn’t get good at it until the last one where I figured out the appropriate stick, pull, peel...it comes with an additional adhering agent which definitely makes it stick well
