I bought the OBDii adapter with the hs/ms switch off Amazon that I’ve seen easily used on YouTube videos, but I cannot get the program/computer to connect at all. Software is up to date, I have a new license key…should be simple.
The red light turns on when the dongle is connected to my computer, and the computer makes a noise…so the computer recognizes it.
When I first tried it, I noticed that it checked com 3 and com 4…but then I noticed the software was out of date and all, so I updated it. Now it only checks com 5 (whatever that is) for some reason. I am a mac person, so I have no idea what is going on. The USB ports seem to work fine - I plugged in a jump drive and it pulled it up no problem. I also tried all 3 USB ports and the usb-c port with the usb adaptor I have for my Mac lol
