Greetings. I have a 2011 Raptor with Ford Sync and the Nav/Sony system.

Is it a direct replacement if I take out the nab dash/unit and replace with the non nab/dash unit from another raptor?

The touchscreen unit on this thing isn't the greatest and I don't like how the HVAC controls are done. I would rather just have knobs and buttons everywhere.

Thanks for any help anyone is willing to give!

No, it's NOT a quick direct swap. Lot's of parts and entire center dash bezel,
    will have to swapped.

BUT I'm pretty sure, you could find a guy here on FRF, that has a NON Nav Raptor, and would be willing to work out a deal to swap with you. At some point, you will need to have PCM/BCM reprogrammed @ Ford Dealer or ??

You have the "Standard" Black Int or Orange Accent Int for 2011?

No, it's a painful process to go from one to another. It's gonna be a mess and expensive.

Keep us updated with The build if you decide to go thru with it, as I'm sure others would like to know this info as well.

I would be very interested in adding a Nav head unit to mine as well. I see Alpine is coming out with a 8" double din. From what I have seen the addition is fairly easy including swapping out the dash plate. The price is much less than the OEM Nav

I have been working with a couple guys at Ford, trying to go from No Nav to Nav. My truck was built when the Nav systems were on hold, and I needed a truck and could not wait for the 2012's. I have just been waiting for a Nav system to fall off a truck or appear for dirt dirt cheap

    here, on frf
it all depends on if the wiring harness and nav antenna are already wired in the vehicle. if not then aftermarket will be your best bet. besides, pioneer and alpine make much better stuff than oem and cheaper

My understanding is that everything is there, and just needs to have the wires connected. The stack behind the dash plate is set up so that everything bolts into place. There might be a few wires that need to be moved around, but if you know a bit of automotive electrical stuff, should be doable.

Least that is what I have been told

I have the whole Sync nav system in my Mustang and for me (because the Nav doesn't work in Europe) I like the screen for the back up camera and easy to read controls... other than that I can buy a super high speed voice activated window mount Nav system for 350 bones... vs the 2700 ford wants. I opted NOT for the big display and nav in the Raptor
