Engineers tend to think this way. Their minds think linearly and believe everyone is just as interested in the minute details as they are. I like his approach, it's more scientific than some cletus just telling people what he thinks works the best - thus the boxy diff covers.
This is also why chromed anything in the engine bay works against the typical flat black OEM parts are painted, better heat dispersion. Chrome keeps heat reflected rather than dispersed.
I'm sticking with the stock diff covers for now.

I always liked Gale Banks. I hope he designs a winner. Even though it's patent pending or whatever- it'll still by copied to hell by everyone with cheap chi-com clones. They'll add something stupid to get around the patent.
