Two quick questions about the factor auto-start that came with the 801 Package;

Today, I pushed the button on the key twice and the starter sounded like it started to begin the process, then it immediately stopped. It did not start the truck. I waited for about twenty minutes and then tried it again and it started without an issue. I have not be able to duplicate the issue again. I am wondering if I may have hit the button for a third time in the process and it cancelled it out?

Secondly, it was pretty cool out tonight, so I figured I would let the truck run, using the auto-start before we took off. Is there a maximum amount of time the truck will run with the auto-start? The truck ran for about five to seven minutes, then shut off. I didn't think there was a maximum time it would run before a key goes into the ignition.

Any help would be great! Thanks!

You probably touched the button by accident mine works flawlessly. You can set the run time its adjustable but its not a until out of fuel thing... I think 20 minutes or so is max..

Awesome! Thanks! I will look for the set up menu to extend the time a bit. A great help, thanks again.

On my 2010 I only need to press and hold the start bottom for two seconds, but I have the six button key FOB Ford Gold Factory Alarm.
I honestly never tried hitting the button twice.
And I only need to tap it once to shut off.

Got a question about the 2013 remote start. So it seems like I have to hit the lock button once before hitting the start button twice to start it. Even if the truck is already locked. Is this how its suppose to be and/or can I change it so that I only have to hit the start button twice?

Not sure why it would be doing that. Mine is lock button, start button twice, and she starts.

Yeah, my daughter's 2013 Escape Titanium is the same way, lock then start twice.
The maximum run time is 15 minutes.

On my 2010 Raptor, when I press and hold start for two seconds (wait for chirp and running lights the blink once) it locks the doors even if it's lock already before starting.

these are the same.... haha. the sequence is lock, start, start. even if the vehicle is already locked. a security feature is my guess. so you dont accidently start the vehicle
