Flowmaster (custom) exhaust? How to tell?

Back in November, I picked up a 2013 SCREW from Delaware that had an aftermarket exhaust, causing it to not pass the CPO process. I was told it was a Borla exhaust and thus, assumed it was until the other day when I decided to crawl under the truck and confirm for myself.

Turns out, the muffler clearly reads 'Flowmaster'. However, the exhaust tips have a somewhat stock look to them (twin tips), and to add to that, all the Flowmaster exhausts I see available for the Gen 1 are single-tipped.

I'm wondering if the PO kept the stock exhaust, but swapped in a Flowmaster muffler. Is there any easy way to tell?

This is the only legible picture I could get, as well as some others showing the exhaust from the side of the truck:

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Looks exactly like my stock exhaust. Safe bet that he only replaced the muffler.

I agree - looks like a straight muffler exchange. I did the same with a Magnaflow #12388 muffler.

Why didn't it pass inspection? Too loud???

In order to become a CPO, it would have had to have a completely stock exhaust.

    Well, it's pre-owned.
Anybody who disputes that is certifiable!

Not to thread jack, but what made you choose the 388 (24”) over the 288 (18”). The 288 seems to be what comes in the catback that many have posted good reviews on. Lastly, any sound clips?
