I use Mobil 1 in my Jeep, but use Amsoil Signature in my Raptor---it is a Group IV synthetic, where Mobil 1 is a blend of Group III and IV and not truly IV....Purple is Group III
Quick background, Group III is hydrocracked organic oil, so just more refined organic oil
Group IV is PAO oil, Polyalphaolefin oil, a true synthetic.
Group V is ester based, meaining it can be run in turbine engines....use that in my Ducatii, but aren't really any oil companies that make a streetable oil in a Group V
