So just picked up new 2020 leadfoot SCREW after having my 18 Black truck totaled by someone running a red light (everyone OK) - after debating what to replace it w/, driving every truck I was interested in, & then winding up finding a near Perfect Raptor when it seemed impossible I’m pretty happy!
Picking the truck up Monday but already ordered my first set of mods & going exterior/appearance first. My 5.5 year old son told me specifically told me “no more black trucks dada!!” (I have a black vette & my last raptor was one of 3 straight black trucks lol)
so the the leadfoot isn’t black, & I love the color, I decided to go against my typical understated/blacked out roots & I ordered some decals from rappy graphics:
Window/door pillar claw marks matte black background w/ orange reflective claws to match w/ shocks- carried that theme w/
raptor logo in matte black/orange reflective on either side of hood scoop
orange reflective inlay for raptor emblem on rear appliqué
leadfoot overlay for ford emblem on appliqué
lastly - I already had subdued American flag FORD decals for grill from rocky mtn I meant to replace my damaged ones on my 18, so going to put those on too.
a lil nervous w/ all the orange flair...outside my comfort zone, but wanted to be a lil different this time & the truck has no factory decals
I’m also adding a ronin .50 cal antenna
Ordered another Swarfworks offset front plate bracket (the one on my 18 got bent to hell in accident)
Ordered another set of Mcgard black lugnuts
had dealer throw Ford tri-fold tonneau in as part of deal as well
Have appt 12-1 to get windows tinted 20% front & adding Xpel ultimate to plastic grill surround/bumper, partial hood & fenders, & small piece behind each wheel
ordered weather tech front mudflaps
Lastly as far as exterior mods go I do plan on adding some lighting, I had offroad alliance triple bezel fog kit w/ twin rigid radiance & single KC hi-lites - gonna wait until cyber Monday see what deals are out there- and I want stronger lights this time around....not opposed to a light bar someplace
it’s so easy to blow money on mods w/ these things- I love these trucks!
GM fanboy turned ford truck/SUV enthusiast now (still prefer GM cars/performance - but can’t deny the GT & GT500 are awesome)
In future plan on putting gearhead tune back on- have the SCT BDX tuner from last truck ready to go but gonna at least wait til first oil change. And I’m going to add the performance diff cover too- had it on my 18, looked good & made diff fluid change a breeze, will also add fumoto valve again.
I’ll post pics once the decals are on & windows tinted
I have eibachs sitting in my garage I never put on my 18, May sell em....I don’t wanna invest in deavers for rear & these 2020s seem to red higher from the factory anyhow. Also have a SPD thermostat I never installed either that I would sell w/ the springs if anyone’s interested.
