Exhaust

So i'll be going from a Gen 1 to a Gen 3, newbie to the active exhaust side of things. If we modify the exhaust ( straight pipe, new exhaust etc ), will the system yell and throw codes if it does not use the active side of things?

Codes will be stored and shown on the over the air system to Ford so just be aware. What can happen from there idk
