I am planing on buying a 2013 Raptor and I was wondering if these trucks come with an electric fan or a clutch driven fan?

Electric, and it makes childsplay of replacing the serpentine belt.

    To OP,

If your worried about heat you are going to have to go with an aftermarket Tune that will allow you to change when the fans turn on and off.
The Standard Tune has the fans come on at 214 degrees and shut off at 207, Ford does this to keep the emisions at or below the federal guidelines.

No kidding! Just replaced my split belt a few weeks ago and it was fairly easy due to this.

Badrap, your factory serpentine belt failed on your 2011? How many miles on your rig?

maybe its not how many miles, but how many hard miles.
but it does seem quite a bit premature

I have 57,000 now. I noticed a split down the middle of the entire belt while putting on the RPG PSR at about 54,000. Glad it caught my attention at home and not in the woods!

Wow!!! This good info to know, I'm sure adding a SC will cut that down to even less miles. LOL

I keep a spare fan belt zip tied under the hood. I also drew the belt route on the fusebox in silver sharpie. I don't know why ford didn't put it under the hood.
