80B4A665-1E14-439F-BA41-AA3AB30B3A28.pngOk this is a simply over lay of a GEN1 stock block running the Borg Warner Ford turbos /BORLA turbos 598TQ @3600 rpm 482HP @5850 rpm .on a 93can tune with the BORLA kit.
these aren’t even meant to be close to the CRP STAGE 4 or stage 5 turbos..close to the stage 3 as the exhaust side is still stock …
so is this simply a case of the CRP tune being detuned/ overly super safe then, as I’m seeing stock raptor/stock 3.5 Ho and base 3.5’s gen2 laying down over 600rwhp on stock turbos, so really it seems like either this is making less power with less boost, or a case of trying to make the same power on less boost maybe which I’ve seen done, which seems to cause less stress on the motor maybe..while also being more consistent due to less heat maybe ? …

For something a bit different and a bunch less weight I decided to go new Raptor Crate engine but keep weight down to 3800 lb. so I went 55 yr old pickup instead. Just got it on road last few days. 91 MPT tune now then switch to E50 when I get it dialed in. Would love to hit the Magic 600/600 on E50. If so that would get me knocking on 10 sec door for 1/4.
should hit 100 mi in 1/8 mi.

I have been hiding under a rock . . I mean pushing hard to get the truck done.
Last few weeks have taken it on 3 different in state trips. Couple weekends ago to Lakeside/Pinetop AZ to a large car show. Drive was 460 miles. Last Sunday took a day trip to Seligman AZ and put a few miles on Route 66. That trip was 470 miles. Then the past week I decided to finally do a full sand n buff of entire truck. Didn't get it 100% how I wanted it but managed to win a "Best Paint" award yesterday of a field of vehicle 250+! That was a shocker. That show was only 90 miles each way so only 250 miles or so total this weekend. Instead of trying to upload a bunch of pics video link may be easier. Uploading another now.. Still running 91 tune and hoping to switch to E50 very soon.
