Door seal fix with surgical tubing

I too would like to know what those who have done this mod used for tubing size???

Tubing size is 3/8in OD 1/4in ID...

I was went to the local home depot and lowes to get some surgical tubing (I was willing to pay just a little more to get the work done today). Anyways, they were selling it for 1.96 a foot.

I decided to order it via amazon and try to do the mod sometime during the week.
