Finally got around to building a bumper for the Black truck. Wanted a radius bent top tube and wanted it tucked in enought to look good, but not flush so it would actually do something if i needed to "bump" something. For the most part it would save the palstic valence or grill when mowing down saplings and tall grass... Anyway, could not find anyone that could or would radius bend the top 1.75 tube. Went and saw a hot rod building buddy and told him my dilema, and he pulled out a Harbor Freight tube roller with 1.5 or 2.0 dies. I picked the 2 and got to work. The HF roller is probably good for conduit or other steel that does not have .120 wall, as we broke the roller numerous times. It would pull the threads or shear the bolt in the handle-wheel/handle shaft. Crap design, but we got it close. I had already cut the frame horns off like you would on an SVC bumper and boxed the end of the frame with a 3/16 cap. After doing all that cutting and welding I changed my mind on how I wanted to do this and ended up making boxed end cap that would slide over the horn and be cross bolted. I used .250 plate to make the boxed caps. Total overkill, but its what I had. Whipped up a couple of up tubes to connect the boxes to the top tube.
