The wire set I was looking at included the "pellet" \resistor with the wires and boots. I couldn't find any previous posts about it other than one mentioned that had corroded in place.

It was recommended that it should be changed along with the wires. Curious that those changing plugs and wires did not mention it.
They are probably in the wires already and in the ignition coils boots. I think what you are referring to is the kit you can buy to replace just the boots on the bottom of the ignition coils.

What I looked at in the NAPA parts book was full wiring set. All wires, all boots and it shows 8 pellets. I plan on getting it and 16 spark plugs.

It did not include coils.

Well, let us know, but I am pretty sure those 8 pellets go into the ignition coil boots. If not, I have some explaining to do to my Raptor, lol

OK, stuff is here. When the weather warms up a bit I'll pull it in and do the first work the truck has ever had other than oil changes.

Rebuilt shocks and ready to go on.

Note the resistor taped to the boot and spring. All the wires, boots, resistors, springs in that one box. That is the NAPA box.

I noticed that, so you're not changing your ignition coils then, as they would of come with the boots resistors and springs all in one, but a lot more costly.

75,000 miles on the truck. Coils should be good for a while yet. Actually the truck is running fine just decided to do it before it needs it!

The shocks are another matter. I'm noticing the need for new ones. My old ones will sit for quite a while and eventually get a rebuild.
