I hope everyone is ready!!!!
Just returned to reality after the Raptor run up in Northern Maine. Holy crap!! I truly enjoyed this trip and had a ball truckin' through the north Maine woods with all of you!! Great weekend with a great bunch of people. Can't wait to do it again!! Hope the rest of the group all made it home safe and that all had a great trip!! Thanks for allowing me to come along!!! Steve
It was great meeting you Steve. Looking forward to many, many more trip to the North Maine Woods.
After having seen all of those beautiful trucks this weekend I am dying to put a few upgrades into my Raptor... so here is the question I pose to all of you. In your opinion what would be your first upgrade? Exhaust?.. Suspension?.. Engine Mod?.. I gotta install some lights up front and maybe in the rear... LED light bar OR spots on a bull bar?? I'm goin nuts wanting to upgrade everything!!! Lovin' it! Steve
Je suis heureaux de faire votre connisance!
So many choices....What's most important to you? My first mods were to put in an XRD, (Xpedition Ready Designs), rack system in the bed to tie things down, rear amber lights and hood mount HID lights. I mounted a VHF/UHF radio, and LED bulbs in the reverse lights and 3rd brake light.
The pre-2013 Raptors had weaker frames over the rear bumpstops and were at higher risk for bending there. RPG, SVC, ICON, others make frame reinforcements/pneumatic bump stops.
Many put on cold air intakes and headers for better performance. 5 Star/other tunes are also popular. Super chargers and even twin turbo options are available for the 6.2.
As good as the suspension is in our raptors, upgrading for even better control in the rough stuff is also very popular. RPG, Icon, Fox, King, Bilstein and others have many possibilities. Deaver, National, and others have many spring options.
What do you want to do with your Raptor? How do YOU want to improve yourtruck. Do what YOU think is most important.
Enjoy your improvements. Relax. There's no end to the options available.
And THAT is a good thing!
Great times guys!
New friends and old.
Our hosts and guide.
As much as we all bust each others chops, we all had a great time.
We got to ride endless gravel roads, see some beautiful country, and laugh with friends .....life is good!
