Had a busy weekend. Finally installed my deavers +3 with RPG drop shackles. I also added some SVC traction bars that I had a friend weld the bracket on for me. I did strip the oem coating off of the deavers and I unassembled the spring pack and painted them with POR-15. I unfortunately live in the rust belt and I will see how they hold up to the salt winters in WI. The deavers w/SVC traction bars really help plant the rear end down. I don’t notice the trucks rear end dancing around anymore when going over railroad tracks. I added some before/after pics.

hey not 100% sure about this, but can the track bars be used with drop shackles? I think you may get some binding... I'd call SVC

Quick question while it's fresh - is it obvious which way the drop shackles go? No instructions... I'm going to do mine in the near future and it wasn't obvious which way they face, I figured once I got into it, it would become clear.

I have this setup on my raptor with the KHC "1 drop shackle and SVC is who installed them. I also read the threads with the concerns about the binding, but haven't noticed any.

When you installed the deavers, did you reuse the leaf spring hardware?
Reason I ask is I’ve seen install videos where people have to cut the bolt to get the fronts out since the bolt head is up against the fuel tank.
I got a set of 2nd hand deavers but didn’t get any hardware , curious if I should order new bolts and if so do you guys know what I need?

I got my Deavers from SVC and they shipped with a new factory nut/bolt to replace the one you have to cut off. For a hot minute I considered dropping the fuel tank because I had the bed off and the truck in the air. I decided against it, god forbid you'd have to drop a spring on the trail but worse stuff has happened. At least this way you can get at it normally.

I used new hardware when installing mine. I did have to cut the oem bolt out next to the gas tank. I had ordered new u-bolts from deaver. you needed longer u-bolts when installing the traction bars.
