Damage when RPG 1.5” Collars installed. Is this worth escalating with the installer?

See attached photos. I had my collars installed earlier today, and finally got around to looking at the installation tonight. I remember when I picked up the truck from the company, they were telling me how big of a pain in the a$$ it was to do and how difficult it was to fit them. Looking at it, it looks like the springs were damaged a bit, whether it’s a structural damaging or more cosmetic is the question. What’re your thoughts? Is this something to be concerned with?

Important to note, I didn’t inspect before the install. I don’t think this came from the factory like this, as the rear springs don’t have any of the same scuffs.

Just finished doing this same install myself. Ended up with the same marks on the springs from the spring compressors. I rented the compressor tool from auto zone and the groove for the spring to sit in was for a much smaller spring. Since I did it myself I don’t mind, but if I would of paid somebody to do it, I would of expected they had the proper tools for the job.

I wouldn’t be thrilled with the shop that did this, but to answer your question OP, it appears to be just cosmetic.

It would take a different type of force/cutting/grinding to functionally compromise those springs. Have them touch up the chipped paint/powder coat or diy.

The shock bodies are a little different, but they are designed to take hits from brush, small rocks, road debris, etc. Again, purely cosmetic from what I see.

If it’s not broken…don’t fix it. I don’t understand the purpose of the collars and perches. Truck is built right the 1st time around. With that being said…I would ask for a 50% refund.

I certainly wouldn’t be happy, but as mentioned it appears to be just cosmetic and the spring could probably be cleaned up with some black paint
