So over the last week or so I have noticed a metal on metal clang sound when hitting bumps, coming from the front suspension area of the truck. (I have attached a video to show the rattle) I got under there and my cv axle seems to be rattling inside of the IWE vacuum hub. It was happening on both the driver and passenger side. When 4X4 is engaged the noise is eliminated. I pulled the CV axle out on the driver side and inspected. Everything seemed to check out on the cv axle itself.
Any ideas on what could be causing this? My uneducated guess is something that has to do with the vacuum hub itself, OR the something in the vacuum system. the only thing that is puzzling me is the fact that the rattle is only occurring in 2wd.
ANY ideas would be appreciated.
