Found a cut on my leather driver seat bottom-2020 16K miles. No idea how it happened. What are my options besides replacing the seat?

If it was mine, I would replace the bottom cover myself, easy! If you are selling it, there's kits you can buy to mediocre fix it or take it to an upholstery shop.

I had something similar recently, not all the way through the seat though. Reached out to the local Fibrenew guy and he worked his magic. $195 later and you can't tell it was ever there. I'd get a pro's opinion about it before trying to repair or replace yourself.

Thanks! I’m keeping this thing so Replacing it is an option I’d consider. I’d like to try @Terp ’s advice too. Never heard of them before but they are in my area and with the parts issues these days it might be a while to get a new cushion anyways.
Recent window tint job?
Had the tint for a year now. I’m thinking it happened at the dealer a few months ago as they were doing work around that area. Just noticed it a week ago though. Im pretty particular in keeping sharp objects away from the seats.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll check them out and see what they can do.

I have “leather” seats too. But I think the whole thing is vinyl? Might be a strip of leather somewhere??

Anyway, what was the outcome?

Dealer highly recommended taking it to a 3rd party to fix. Going to have an upholstery shop look at.

Got the seat fixed! I called up the local Fibrenew and it cost me $165. I like how it turned out and it’s not really noticeable anymore from just outside the cab. Thanks @Terp for recommending Fibrenew!
@Trailmaker here are the results. 1 before pic and 2 after. E6A5E0CD-AE9F-41B7-ABEA-01255C04EE5D.jpegB7E682D9-5A9F-4636-B546-9029A567EEE9.jpeg04ABDBCF-1468-4D49-BE2F-1A486C88191C.jpeg

Looks pretty good for less than $200. I’ll have to save that company name for when I have an issue.
