Thank I will in the morning.
Try cleaning the threads on the bolt with a wire brush.
Yup I did that a few times thinking it would help. The screws still look new as the truck is garaged
Mines never worked that great but I rarely listen to AM/FM.
seemed like after my fenders were installed there was slight static but nothing crazy and only with certain stations. i had maybe 1 or two light bars prior to the fenders, have since added a few more plus an additional relay setup, reception went straight to hell after that...ended up with sirius, don't see myself going back to regular radio any time soon.
It's pretty odd to hear it degrade over time. An issue with length could be solved by removing the thread from the bullet. I would even send you a new one if you like.
Take the thread out and then put it into the truck first, then put the bullet onto the thread by hand, maybe that will help.

I remember that. I was thinking, what about a rubber insulator to keep the Bullet from touching the body of the truck when it is screwed down?
Thank you, I appreciate that. By any chance do you know the exact size of the screw that is used? I was debating trying a longer one if not maybe an insulator.
I can get a longer one for you, how long do you want to to be exactly? The stud should extend almost exactly the length of the stock Antenna already?
Sirus is usually different because it's connected via satellites. So reception is easy to grab.
FM quality overall is spotty with my .50cal, but I have not noticed a decrease over the 6mos I've had it and I use it daily. Also wasn't aware of the screw adjustments so thank you!
Put the 50 cal on the pay it forward thread? Lol
On a serious note, if not using interested in selling it?
