If you change the coolant type, be sure to flush the system. I read that adding green and orange coolant together can result in some reaction that causes the coolant to form think gel-like crap that will clog the radiator.

Yes mixing coolant isn't what one wants to do.

Just did my flush and clean yesterday.... went to ford dealer to get the antifreeze they said they switched to the “yellow” now instead of orange.... so far so good

Its called DEX sludge. It was a real big issue with mid 90s and early 00s Land Rover/Ranger Rovers and some Chevy's apparently.
