I know there’s a few Subie fans on FRF and thought you would like to see this doc on Subaru culture.
Wow this is really cool documentary thanks for sharing this awesome stuff.
Great post! I’ll check it out when I more time. I got a bugeye when they were finally imported in 02 then a 04 sti that I still have.
I am a retired rally driver 80s & 90s and have loved the Subaru rally type cars but was not able to rally one since they were not available when I raced. I did have a 2004 STi as a street car for about 5 years and it was lots of fun.
This is a very good movie about the cars and the lifestyle of the Subaru brand.
In 8 years of Raptor ownership I have found some small pockets of owners that remind me of the Subaru world and that is one thing that has made my Raptor experience really fun. I am entering a new chapter with a Gen2 and hope to have 8 more years of fun.
A lot of people don’t realize the 04 did Not come with a radio! That is very cool to have raced rally!! I did a scca solo event in my 04. My late friend Dave Mirra did a stint racing rally.
I meet Dave a couple of times and was very sorry he passed. I raced with VW and Nissan winning Production class in 1992, it was a great time in my life just to expensive and not enough sponsorship at that time.
Yup, the Subaru community is pretty awesome. Even though our local club is fragmented now, we still have an annual meet.
I was just out in my STi and never fail to get a wave from another Sube driver.
My 04 STi came with a factory radio. It was junk but it did have a factory radio.
Mine did not, it wasn’t an option. I have the 57th sti imported.
All 04 STis had the option of getting a radio but it was not std. Dealer installed in most cases. I went with an aftermarket alpine.
