I think color matching the vendors can look good at times, but the grille and applique? No. On black though, I don't think it will really be all that noticeable either way.

My feelings toward these questions are “What do YOU like?” That is why the aftermarket community is massive. Everyone has their own preferences but if you want mine, I am not huge on monotone cars with every aspect color matched. Some say it looks clean I say it looks like crap.

Just curious the thoughts.

1 truck is a '20 with NO color matching

1 truck is a '21 WITH color matching on the front/rear applique, bumpers and side flares.

Thoughts?

Not a huge fan of the color matching. That's why I went with black. Everything blends better on the black truck. One thing I do like is the painted rims. I am assuming he had the stock rims painted, is that correct?

I think doing the FORD color match is a nice touch
But i agree with others not to match the flares as it is too much ..

Yes, like I did on my '20, he had his stock '21 wheels powder coated in Gloss Black.

Personally I hate the color matching, I like some contrast and being able to tie in other accessories. The good thing for you is that my opinion doesn't matter. Do what is going to make you grin the most.

I think the color match on all black looks good. Good enough to have to worry about the paint chipping or coming off the plastic in a year or 2. I have seen too many painted plastic parts look like crap years down the road.
