2018 Ford Raptor SuperCrew
Stock Truck
91 Octane

Stock the truck makes a modest 365whp and 440ft-lbs of torque. I installed the newly released COBB Tuning Accessport on their Off the shelf 91oct Stage 1 map. This map made 397whp and 514ft-lbs of torque. There were clearly gains to be had on 91oct.

I ended today on my own custom map at an astounding 434whp and 549ft-lbs of torque! That’s a gain of 69whp/109wtq over stock on **91 octane**!!! The truck is completely different. Throttle response is 10x better, and with COBB’s Dynamic Pedal Control the end user can further modify pedal feel to their liking!

I wasn’t able to add as much ethanol as I had wanted but got content up from E9 to E21. With that I made further adjustments and ended at 444whp 549wtq.

Needless to say, I’m impressed! A bone stock truck plus a tune. I expect another 20-30whp and better power up top with higher ethanol content. For now I’ll spend more time on the dyno and see how much more power I can squeeze out also continue to refine these calibration files.

I’d like to give a special thanks to Lance at Hammer Performance in El Paso. He let me spend the majority of the day on his dyno for my testing. He also has a ton of cool Raptor projects going! Special thanks to Joe for the help during the process!

Thanks for reading.

Where you are located, do you need to order special fuel the E20 I mean or do you have pumps near you?

Most of us that are running higher ethanol mixes (E11 - E50) have e85 fuel pumps at the local gas stations. If you don't have ethanol pumps around then you are forced to out source ethanol, which I assume is expensive and not very productive.

I run e50 and just mix at the pump when getting gas, as all types of fuel are on the same nozzle. I just test the actual amount of ethanol in the e85 (see e60 - e85 depending on the season) and then calculate how many gallons (91 gas octane + e85) needed to give me a final balance of e50.

Then its smiles for miles......

A few months ago, I picked up a used accessport with your stage 2 tuning and TCM, along with a cobb CAI. I however, passed on the cobb intercooler. Came off same year model raptor.

I haven't really messed with it yet. Out of curiosity, what would happen if I loaded the tune w/o upgrading the intercooler?

Load the stage 1 tune in that case. stage 2 will be too aggressive

All your answers to the COBB AP3 OTS maps are right on Cobb's website.

https://www.cobbtuning.com/maps/

Goosetuned (Winfield) will vastly improve those base maps with his own fine tuning and I and plenty of others (see previous 84 pages) would vouch for that.

You can buy the AP3 directly from Win.

Thanks for the help man! I miss alerts here for some reason
