BTW, my 2011 GEN1 does not appear to have that Hall effect battery sensor on the negative cable.

I can’t find any reference to resetting the BMS using that procedure . No idea how they figured that out or if it does in fact work.

Pretty sure that’s the procedure outlined in the manual of my gen3. I had to do it after disconnecting the battery.
