GEN 1 Change dash power plug

Anyone know how to change the dash power plug above the useless cubby hole on the passenger side to power off when you shut off the truck? I have the Bluetooth ****** Live 9500ix adapter plugged into it but I have to unplug it all the time otherwise it stays on.

I also found that the power plug in the center console always stays on too, would like to change that too.

Thinking it would be on the same circuit. Could rewire at fuse block to a switched power source.

why not just hard wire the radar detector?

My radar detector stays on for a while after I cut it off but then it'll shut off, yours might also
