Very nice! Any 4lo stuff or it was pretty easy?
Did you bump on the skid plates any?
I’ve been off-roading here 32+ year and this is my first time out this way into the Black Canyon Wilderness using this route.
The Trails up to the Mesa and Lookout Point were testing me and Blue Lighting.
4 hrs for 12 miles! Rock-Crawl and 4-Low through Softball/Basketball size volcanic rocks, scraping boards and testing my sidewalls :0

Awesome views from up there. So, couple of things.....
1) By "WE", do you mean, you and your dog or you and your wife (or Partner to be politically correct) and dog?
2) For that kind of terrain, and the amount of offroading that you like to do, you should probably remove the spare from under the back of the truck and find a way to secure it in the box. It sure makes it a lot easier to change a tire. Now that I'm rolling with the tire idea here, are you still relying on the Ford OEM jack and hardware?

@CoronaRaptor “We” this time was the gang ;) They all come along whenever they can.
I have the Pro-Eagle 3-Ton. I have been looking since 2010 for the best way to carry the tire. The under mount is a pain in the Azzzz.
I looked at the swing-away options and I’m not thrilled. As you you see, flying solo most of the time requires me to be able to self-rescue, so I carry a lot of stuff. I really like my Diamondback Cover but I think my best option is to go back to a Snug-Shell set up like my 2010’s and I’m going to mount a tire carrier to the Cargo-Glide.

Most of my off road experience is rock crawling. Love it.

Yes sir, you are carrying a lot of gear for sure, better to be safe than sorry. I carry a first aid kit and an air compressor, shovel and my impact gun, a recovery rope and thats about it. I need a few more items, lol.

It’s a lot of fun. Amazing what this truck is capable of doing. I’ve had a few Jeep’s, a couple of Hummers (very stable platform like the Raptor) and a few 4x4 Trucks. This Truck is just Amazing for me, loved it since day 1 in 2010. Rides like an Escalade on the road and will take me anywhere I want to go. The only thing I like better is an H1, if it weren’t for Gravity that MFer would go straight up a wall :) only problem is you have to be filthy rich to get and have deeper pockets to keep it running :anitoof:
Rock Crawling wears me out, loose focus, loose an A-Arm lol
