Just did another 2500 miles down south past week. (on Gen2 #2)

This trip i realized its time to ditch the cool pre runner looking tire rack and actually utilize the bed.

The unloading and loading back up constantly with dive gear/ Spear gear bags tools is a pain in the ass and my gear is getting as many miles on it as the truck.

Would like to see some photos of Camper shells with tire mounted on back of it. Not roof (Cant be top heavy)
*or just good recommendations of camper shells?

Also anyone throwing a 37 under where the spare 35 use to be? Going to want to mount the other 37 under there.

Very interested to hear your results! I've not pushed my mine very hard (just some driving around dunes) with the cap on. Decent whoops/bucking bronco moments without any contact between cab/cap but still hesitant as I don't quite trust the c-clamps things on the bedrail.

I ordered a Snugtop with the "sportsman" package (reinforced roof to hold more weight) and no complaints on quality so far. Allegedly weighs ~250lbs but I didn't verify beforehand.

I've thought about adding a bedrack (RPG/SVC seem similar, SDHQ looks interesting because modular) to keep some tires/jack but it's starting to add up back there - not sure if +3 deavers will be happy.

I want to add some sort of camper tent but don't want a hard top. I kinda like this though..

Snug top, front runner rack, bed slide. I'm down in Baja 5-7 times a year hunting and hanging out. Its been an ideal setup. I would rather deal with the spare under the truck then dealing with swinging out the rear mount tire multiple times daily.
