Please vote so we can get an estimate on how many people here have or have had cam phaser issues or engine failure due to it.

Note: On behalf of @smurfslayer I am adding a third option for the trolls who continue to comment on the subject.

The poll is already flawed. Sasquatch voted yes and he doesn't even own a Gen2.

Yes. 2017 with 32k miles had phasers replaced twice. 2019 @ 7200 miles just replaced all phasers.

I'll throw a vote in for yes for a local guy that's been asking to buy my 14. He's not on the forum but his 18 has been in twice for them.

Exactly, like we couldn’t see that coming :-/

she will be creating new id’s to further foul the poll and still has at least one old active ID.

I think we should add what filter and type of oil were using as well.
2017 24000 no issues with cam phasers, use royal purple full synthetic oil and a royal purple filter. First change at 1000 miles then every 5000-7000.

That has proven to not be a factor for this. The 2010 - 2014 ecoboost people thought the same thing and it didn't matter the oil, filter, or how often oil was changed.

Agree. I think it’s long sits where the oil drains back and the phasers start spinning without any hydraulic lockup. Maybe we need an aftermarket remote mount that allows for the filter to sit upright?
