I went hard today, brutal off roading. @John M BUNMAN would be jealous. Yep, rode straight over a bollard to pull in to a spot at Costco. Once I was done, I drove down the road and pulled into Colonial Ford in Danbury, Ct., also known as ripoff capital of the world. They have 3 Raptors on the lot, been there over two months. A gen 2 and two gen 3.

I thought the Gen3s were new, but nope, both used. One with 187 miles, the other with about 300. Both 2021. They didn't have a price on the used sticker, but what I did see was the supposed, so called warranty. It was 1,000 miles or 3 months, whichever comes sooner.

Tell me, what complete, total moron would buy that? And I guarantee the price is close to MSRP, if not more. Just nuts.

I just looked at a gen 2 with 43,000 miles for $56,000 at the dealership. Pinstriping all over both sides, cracked windshield, looked like it went on a desert run and straight to the dealership.
PM if you’re looking for a Bucks Blu PAVEMENT PRINCESS Gen2.
I just turned 55k (pavement only) miles.
I will throw in TWO matching Shovels
(Also, it’s the Limited Edition Hybrid;) )

The 1,000 mile “warranty” is likely a dealer guarantee meaning if something happens within that mileage they will buy the vehicle back or fix it on them. The original manufacturer warranty still applies.
Yeah, this falls under the Gold & Blue Certified warranties offered on pre-owned Ford Vehicles by Ford Blue Advantage, I believe.

Best to read the fine print in those “warranties” as I don’t think cover all vehicle parts/components (eg. Not a true bumper to bumper).

Sounds like Colonial Ford got Raptors some idiots couldn't afford and got repo'd. And yes seeing used Raptors go for more than MSRP in NorCal. Supply meet Demand!

Got repo'd before the first tank of gas? Not likely. You have to miss several monthly payments before that. These might be Raptor orders that were delayed, then canceled when the actual price jumped to over $100K and the buyers couldn't get a loan for over sticker. And the dealer wasn't able to call anybody else on the list and convince them to overpay. When it was ordered in 2019-20 the loan interest rates were half of today's rates. .

7 months of missed payments seems like allot for the repo man to finally come after you..
