I'm thinking about the possibility of placing a rectangular device, say 8" x 4" x 2" on top of the dash. A little too big to fit in the center console slot. I was wondering if it's possible to get the dash mount tand then place the device on top of this, clamping it down somehow so that the device doesn't move. Make sense?

BuiltRight lists some possible accessories, but I don't see anything that would hold a larger object. I could probably pick up some metal bracket pieces from the local hardware store to do it, but not sure how clean that would look.

Hey dude. Good to see you over here from the Gladiator Forums. :favorites13:

OP: Im using the 67 Designs stuff with my Built Right mount. They have a lot of options.

Or you could also use the Ram Mounts: https://www.rammount.com/

Good to be here ;)

OP: 67 Designs also has their own F150 mount you can consider. You can get it with up to four ball mount points. It doesn’t ‘look’ as robust as the one from Builtright but I can guarantee that it is because 67D’s reputation. I beat the hell out of mine in the Jeep and have had zero issues.

Yep, installed Gaia on an old iPad Mini I had laying around (LTE model with GPS). I mounted the Mini on a Mob Armor magnetic mount that sits on a BuiltRight Industries Dash Mount. It is easily removed when not in use...so I got that goin’ for me, which is nice.
