I am heading back out into the Rockies this weekend and planning to widen/clear some trails. It’s all national forest. Does anyone know what the rules are for this?

One of the trails has a log that fell across it. I will be bringing a chainsaw to clear this. What other tools would be good? Has anyone else done this?

In the brush country of West TX, I carry some long handled nippers.

You'll also want a chain or a tow strap...

A shovel and Pulaski are handy... I do a lot of work weekends with the local ATV and off road clubs.
