Not sure if I am the only one that found this strange.
Cut a great deal on a new 2019 Raptor (I know, sounds like an oxymoron..)
I bought it at a dealer 40 miles away and they are delivering it tomorrow.
What I found strange is that they did not try to market extended warranty, tire and wheel protection and all the other add-on's other manufacturer dealerships have hard pressed me in the past.
Is that just all of the Ford dealerships style or could they be that laid back that they aren't chasing the easy money (doesn't make sense)?
Is extended warranty worth it?
Also,
While I got you here, considering Borla s type ehaust. Thoughts?
Some comments on the web say it better to go Borla ATAK and add resonater.
Appreciate any feedback

Dealership we bought ours from last weekend was the same exact way. No price markup, no BS. No window tint, no nitrogen tires, no alarm, no paint protection etc. Briefed us on the warranties if we wanted them, took the tire warranty. Outside of that, advertised and agreed upon price with a 129 doc fee that I wasn't gonna argue about.

There are some legit dealerships out there. As far as our experience, Jim Trenary Ford in Moscow Mills Missouri is top notch.

My dealer asked but didn't push. I told them I already had a less expensive solution. Cost through Flood Ford or Zeigler was below their cost.

I think the 7/125K warranty is 100% worth it if you don't plan on tuning the truck, and even then there are lots of expensive electronics to break. The cheapest I've found is Zeigler www.zeiglerfordesp.com with coupon code "payinfull". The 7/125K with $50 deductible and the LED and key add ons is $2180. 8/125K is $2480.

I also think there is an argument to be made for the premium maintenance plan. My buddy who is a service manager at Ford confirmed that it covers the shocks, and that they just replaced them as needed instead of rebuilding. He's owned five Raptors and owns two Raptors currently and has the plan on both. All in for 8/125K ESP and Maintenance is $4755. They have a code "mpayinfull" for the maintenance plans.

Hello,

I just purchased a used 19 Raptor CPO’d a couple weeks back. The CPO gave me an additional 12 months/12k miles after factory warranty expires. When I went to finalize all the numbers the finance guy wanted to sell me a tire plan and also an extension of the CPO warranty which was additional 72 months/75k plan for an additional $1150. I told him I don’t need the tire plan but I’ll take that additional warranty.

The CPO on this particular truck is what sealed the deal for me no question or I wouldn’t of expensed 60+k for this vehicle.

I guess different markets offer different plans. If you guys didn’t have that option at time of signing it’s never to late to ask if you recently made a raptor purchase. Just call them and ask if you can purchase the FORD PREMIUM CPO UPGRADE.

You guys that are getting the extend plans. The 72 month plan extends the 36 factory, so your really getting an additional 36 months past the factory. Why not wait till the factory is about to expire then do it? I did that with my Ram. I waited till the factory expired then did a factory 8/80 directly through Chrysler. It didn't cost me any more then if I were to do it when I bought the truck. It was even cheaper to be honest because I went direct and then I was covered for like 13 years total.
Just an Idea. I have a 2020. If I wait 3 years to do it. Here is the quotes if I had a 2017 and bought it now. Dealer wanted like $2000 over these when I bought the truck.

Never had a Ford before, but I am surprised at how cheap the warranties are. Given how common the cam phaser issue and how costly it is to repair, it's almost a no brainer to get the max warranty option.
