Recently got into my 2017 and upon start up I was greeted by a “Blind Spot system fault” and “cross traffic system fault.” I checked both tail lights for any cracks or wiring issues. While driving neither mirror has the orange indicator light. I tried a PCM reset by disconnecting the battery for a few hours but that didn’t help. I’m assuming this is going to be a dealer issue but hopefully you guys can shed some light. I don’t have any knowledge with this BLIS system, if it’s just one computer module I can change out or if there’s more to it.

You would need ForScan or Ford IDS (dealer scan tool) to pull DTCs and get an idea of what may be going on. You may want to remove both tail lights to check for water intrusion/corrosion at the SOD module connections as well. Any aftermarket components wired into the truck?

The only aftermarket parts are 2 BD squadron sports on the A pillars that I wired to the 4th upfitter switch in the cab

It’s a cable harness that got smoked. Happened to me as well. I don’t have the model number off hand but it runs across the rear bumper. It has the sensor plus and a ground cable as well.

Think it’s $130

I had some of the same faults and ended up being that same ground under the rear bumper near the spare tire. I had messed with it when I tied in my chase lights to it.

dealing with this issue now, took the bolt out and wire brushed the bolt hole, cleaned up the wire washers and put a little anti seize on the bolt. hoping this fixes the issue and thank you for the great info on this thread!
