Black Interior..but Blue?

Just took delivery of a2022 AMB, 801A, 35 with the black interior package but after first staring at the interior it has hints of blue in the plastic and leather..I actually love it but has anyone else noticed this?

Looks like whatever "blue" you are seeing is a reflection of the AMB paint when you have the door open. All the Gen 3 black interiors I've seen in person (only 3), none had any "hints of blue" that I noticed.

Maybe you're having a flashback to 2015 and the dress on the internet that some people saw as black and blue and others swore was white and gold. Either way, as long as you like it, it's all good!

I don't really see any blue in the pictures either, but I do remember when I was re-doing some seats in a car. Had a very hard time finding the right color fabric for the backs. It was a real dark blue. When I placed a sample of blue that looked pretty close on top of it, the original appeared almost black. When I tried a shade darker color over it, the original appeared blue-ish again. I think its something the way your brain processes the two colors when they are next to each other.

I know exactly what your talking about. The door panels seem slightly blue on mine too.

I have a ‘22 AMB and I was thinking the same thing lol
