Made some bigger backing plates to help disperse the load over a larger area today. The difference it makes is immense. The pillars no longer deform and when I release the ratchet strap after tightening the heims the movement has reduced considerably over the original setup. Will contact Outlaw and advise them so they can make something similar in the future if this becomes a production item.

The old backing plate is the one on top and was used in conjunction with the big washer from the I-bolt setup. The new plate below replaces both and follows the inner contour of the pillar.

I ran into this raptor in the Cinepolis parking lot in La Costa yesterday. It had some bed spread going but no frame/bump stop kit.
