Exactly. It's just overall a cleaner system and sleek when the tent isn't being used. Have you used your rig off-road with this config?

yes I have, I even got caught up in the Hurricane went it took a turn and came north and the setup held up great to offroad and heavy winds.

No problem. I'm just getting into the whole RTT camping idea as well so I'm trying to navigate it all. After speaking to some Overlanding "pros", they have also recommended these on top of the RCI rack. Dig the UpTopOverland one which is priced similar to the RCI. Not a huge fan of the Leitner but just my opinion. Was told the UpTop is the best for modularity and can fit basically anything on it (recovery tools etc).
