Very nice setup but how do you guys manage weight? Looks like OP's truck is 802A trim which gives you only 1068lbs of bed load including the passengers. A family of 4 should be around 700 -750 lbs, bed cover and attachments OP has is another 100 - 150 lbs . So you are left with only 200 lbs (best case scenario) to 100lbs,to fill all the pretty boxes, under the bed cover and on top of the cover. A walmart tent is 10 -15 lbs , or a walmart bike 20lbs (if you get a more expensive one) or even 35 lbs. Preety but not useful imo. Would love to use OP set up but I dont see how with a Raptor

You don't camp with four people. Four people and a cooler of beer or two people and camping stuff. You really have to pay attention to the weight budget if you want to camp with the Raptor without over loading it.

I have a family of 4 . 2 teens and 2 adults. My point was while all the side boxes and extra rack look amazing is not a good choice for me at least . If it was only me and wife I would've chose a scab over screw . Again, beautiful setup just not practical for a family of 4.

there are ways to increase payload without hindering capability. HD springs, bumps, shackles, better shocks, and so on. there are people running full bed mount camper systems with +400lbs of gear and fluids. shoot even a chase rack setup with jacks, tires, shovel, gas, water, and tools gets close to payload. No, factory suspension is not optimal for modified use, but thats why aftermarket exists.

lol condescending much...

Spending and extra 20k for a raptor over a lariat just so you can drive through Starbucks in it. but thats ok?

if you want factory payload capacity for camping, sell the raptor and buy a superduty. if you want to turn your high speed offroad designed raptor into an overland camper then yes youll have to purchase parts that are designed for that...

raptor wasnt meant to be an rv...cant complain about the problem and the solution... lol

Agreed. More pretty than useful. I've spent over 1000 nights camping out of the back of a pickup truck. 90% of "overlanding" gear is bullslop. It looks cool, it often works well enough, but isn't worth the price or the weight. If you start with the mindset of "what's the lightest way to accomplish my task", you could certainly go car camping with four adults, especially if you go to a campground since you wouldn't need to bring water, table, or chairs.
