I've never had a truck with a spray in bed liner but I'm planning to get my truck Linexed in the near future. I'm wondering how difficult it is to drill through the liner if i wanted to add some attach points to the bed or the fwd bulkhead or should i just figure out my bed storage configuration before and drill any holes prior to the bed liner. Currently i have a tire carrier in the bed with my HF floor jack attached to it and i'm planning to move the spare to the stock location but still want to maintain the floor jack. My thought is to fab a bracket and attach it to the fwd bulkhead and i'm also looking into a roof top tent so i may have some kind of bed rack or cross bars to install in the future as well. I'm not a fan of clamping to the top of the bedsides so I'd like to hard attach actual bed structure as much as possible. I'm guessing i should figure all that out before getting the liner but curious if anyone has drilled through it. Also if you have some clever bed rack/storage setups, I'd love to see them and get some ideas.

If you can do your layout prior to the bed liner being sprayed in that would be helpful in that your holes will be coated. Protects them from the elements.

You could also mount your brackets have them coated when they spray in the liner as well.

With that being said it’s not any more difficult drilling through the liner, just start with a pilot bit and step up from there.
