Has anyone stripped the paint from the 2020 beauty rings? I love the look of the Ford performance beadlock rings but don’t really need them for my daily life. Thinking about stripping the beauty rings to raw aluminum, but want to see if anyone has experience with this before I start.

here, on frf
probably not a good idea. although aluminium is rust resistant, it will still corrode and pit. the powdercoat protects that from happening

Nobody has paint stripped their beauty rings???

I’d I was to opt for naked beauty rings, I would get them sand blasted. It would be a matte finish.

I think any chemical paint stripper would work. Would be messy. You’d have to scrub out the screw holes.

Other option - silver Plastidip. Removable also. I did mine in OD but removed it eventually.

x2 on the plasti dip. Always a good way to see if you like the way it looks.

Raw color, lack of color... would make them stand out but coat them with a clear. Plastic dip is an option but just like any other finish requires maintenance once in a while. Any change to factory is a good one off.
