Gale Banks from Banks Power (who, you will realize, is the Mr. Rogers of the automotive industry, after you watch these videos) is doing a YouTube series which will test the effectiveness of aftermarket differential covers.
He has completed 2 out of 3 videos that sets the stage for his testing methods. He also created another video showing a transparent diff cover on an F150 and how the fluid flows around the ring and pinion with a stock cover.
I am excited to see the third video when it comes out (scheduled for mid-September so it should be soon) and see the results he comes up with. I'll try to post the 3rd video when it comes out, but in the meantime enjoy!
Part 1 (10 minutes)
Part 2 (20 minutes)
Transparent diff cover on an f150 (9 minutes)
