Thanks! Do you guys sell spot amber lenses separately? These came with clear driving combos and I’d like to change them out.
Spot is only available in clear. You could do that and put an amber rock guard over it.

We do have all available Baja Designs lenses. Though they don't just have a spot lens. They do have amber driving combo and amber snap on covers for spot.

We also, unlike most places out there right now, do have lots of Baja XL Sport Pro and XL80's still in stock.

Thanks to Sidney and John @Specialtyperformanceparts , I was to able to get a killer Black Friday deal on a set of XL80 driving combo pod lights, SPV’s A-Pillar Bracket and Harness, and a relay to hook it all up to Aux Switch #4.

Install was pretty straight forward although, I have to admit, I opted to route the harness wire under the cowl instead of under the firewall mat connected to the hood. I didn’t want the wiring to get pinched if a mechanic or someone else was opening the hood without knowing to be cautious of the wiring, and it was pretty easy to open up the cowl and anchor the wiring inside.

I’d say the hardest part was getting the passenger side bracket to slip into place without scraping the hood/fender paint. I highly recommend putting tape down to prevent scratches and to also loosen the cowl a bit more so you have more room to move the bracket around the antenna mount. The antenna mount definitely gets in the way but with the cowl lifted up there’s plenty of room to maneuver the bracket.

Aside from that, the rest of the install was really simple, especially being that I had practice installing Squadron Pros triple fogs (another purchase from SPV). Can’t say enough how thankful I am for SPVs customer service and value. In a market that’s full of competition, John’s customer service and availability for customers are the reasons Im choosing SPV for all of my future lighting needs.

Also, if you don’t have BD XL80 A-Pillar lights, you’re not living life to the fullest and you should feel ashamed. These things are the brightest lights I’ve ever had and I already had two women ask for a ride in my truck since installing them. (My wife and daughter needed to go to the grocery store). But still, these lights are sick!

Night shot pictures, or you just took those pics from the street of your neighbor’s Rap. :p

XL80’s are legit. I can light up farther than I can see with clarity.
Do you have XL80s in spot or driving combo? They’re bright in driving combo but kinda disappointed the distance I’m getting. Wondering if spot lenses will increase the throw significantly or a negligible amount.

My XL80s in spot throw about 1/2 mile. More distance than I can acutely make out details. I have a long straight before a “T” intersection heading home. They’ll light up the trees at that “T”. Yeah, the lasers throw longer but the light isn’t as usable because the beam is so narrow. With more lasers, yes, but it’s a work in progress. Honestly, if I wasn’t street focused first, I’d have done XL80s in spot on the pillars and either LP6/4 on the bumper and been done for a while. I have the combo LP4’s in white and a pair of squadron pro amber down low that also do a credible job but the LP4’s are well suited to throwing a $hit ton of light out there, with good spread.

But the XL80s... yeah. Worth it.

Any wind noise?? I want to do this set up with LP6 ‘s.
Nope. not even with the S1 lasers running side saddle on the XL80s.
Like Cowboy Coward told Ned Beatty in Deliverance: “Don’t say anything, just DO it!"
I don't hear any wind noise from the XL80s. Thanks belt feed M60.
flex much on that wealth and privilege? happy to be rocking the 1919...

No wind noise from the XL80s but the LP6 is a two inch larger face so can’t compare honestly. Also, some have complained about LP4s affecting visibility due to their size, can’t imagine the LP6s would be better.. that said, I do like the looks of that light quite a bit more but you weren’t asking for my opinion
